BREAKING: Police Shooting Triggers Violence In Lagos

Recurring civil disturbances and violent clashes between security officials and hoodlums in Ijesha have become regular happenings in the area.

 Police shooting has triggered violence in Lagos State.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that violence has erupted in the Ijesha area of Lagos State as anti-riot policemen fired gunshots and tear gas to disperse a crowd of alleged hoodlums in an attempt to make some arrests.

Sources say vehicle owners abandoned their cars fleeing for dear life to avoid being hit by stray bullets during the commotion.

Socio-economic activities have since been put on hold as traders, residents, and passersby scamper for safety.
