Oil Marketers have accused Mele Kyari led NNPCL of massive fraud.

NewsOnline reports that the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, has accused the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL of fraud.

The oil marketers urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to stop the alleged exploitation in the distribution of petroleum products.

The Secretary of IPMAN/NNPC PDO Forum, Folalu Ebenezer addressed reporters on Thursday during a protest in Apapa, Lagos,

Ebenezer expressed their support for fuel subsidy removal, urging the President to focus on alleged racketeering perpetrated by NNPCL officials.

He said IPMAN was required to pay ahead of product supplied by the NNPCL via Authority To Pay (ATP) for product loading at designated Private Deport (PDO).

Ebenezer lamented that months after the payments were made through the NNPCL portal, marketers were yet to get access to the product.

“Some of our members have tickets up to nine months before the fuel subsidy removal but have not been able to load products,” he said.

Ebenezer recalled there was an increment in January 2023, with marketers obligated to pay an additional N1,072,000 naira per ticket.

“Even after the payment, our members are yet to lift the products. There are over 4,500 tickets, including 500 Dynamic tickets yet to drop on the portal.

“NNPCL is now asking IPMAN members, who already have tickets for the products, to pay an additional N13,702,000 on each ticket”, he complained.

The scribe further accused the national oil firm of diverting the product its members paid for to private companies and personal tank farms.
