Monday has been declared a Public Holiday for all government workers in Akwa Ibom State.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, has declared Monday, September 23, 2024, a public holiday in commemoration of the state’s 37th anniversary.

This was contained in a statement signed by Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong.

The statement urged residents to join in the celebration of the state’s creation.

All relevant institutions and individuals are expected to comply.

 

Akwa Ibom State was created on September 23, 1987.
