Monday has been declared a Public Holiday for 1446 AH commencement.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Kano State Government has announced Monday as a public holiday to mark the commencement of the new Islamic calendar year, 1446 AH.
In a statement issued on Friday by Baba Dantiye, the Commissioner for Information, the government emphasized the significance of the holiday for citizens to reflect on the past year and engage in beneficial activities.

Governor Yusuf Abba urged residents to utilize the holiday to contemplate the previous year’s events and participate in activities that promote mutual benefit, particularly in challenging times.
“The state government remains committed to implementing and initiating policies and programs aimed at fostering self-reliance among citizens,” the statement affirmed.
