ICAN has re-accreditated LASU for the accounting programme.
NewsOnline reports that the Lagos State University’s Accounting Program has received a three-year renewal of accreditation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
Following the successful completion of a recent accreditation exercise, the professional body gave a Certificate of Accreditation to the University that included the re-accreditation of the program.

The academic sessions from 2020–2021 to 2023–2024 are covered by the re-accreditation.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji – Bello, while speaking on the re-accreditation, congratulated the Head, Department of Accounting, Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences, and the entire University for the feat.
She also expressed immense appreciation to the Lagos State Government for supporting the University to make the accreditation exercise a huge success.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the latest development further fulfills the first Strategic Goal of the current administration, which is “…to ensure that academic and professional programmes are and remain accredited by the relevant bodies.”
