NewsOnline Nigeria reports that hoodlums masquerading as protesters have reportedly set ablaze the residences of some politicians.
This is happening amid the ongoing nationwide protests against hunger, hardship and bad governance in Nigeria.
On Tuesday, videos circulating on X captured protesters setting fire to a mansion reportedly owned by Nazifi Sani Gumel, a serving member of the House of Representatives representing the Gumel/Maigatari/Sule Tankarkar/Gagarawa Federal Constituency, Jigawa State.
The youths accused Gumel of neglecting his constituency since his election 14 months ago during the last general elections.
In a related incident in Yobe State, another group of youths attacked the residence of a current serving Senator.
The Senator was accused of embezzling public funds intended for the development of his district.
