Former APC Chairman, Ganduje has spoken on the alleged reports of plotting to join ADC.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has debunked reports claiming he is set to defect to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Ganduje, who resigned from his position as APC chairman on June 27, 2025, citing health concerns, described the reports as “fake news.”

The former Kano State governor assumed leadership of the APC on August 3, 2023, following an emergency meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee. However, fresh speculations emerged two months after his resignation, suggesting he and his supporters were planning to dump the ruling party for the ADC.
Reacting to the rumours, Ganduje’s spokesman, Edwin Olofu, assured on Saturday that his principal remains firmly with the APC and loyal to President Bola Tinubu.
“Ganduje is a committed member of the APC who is not just a loyal party man but also loyal to the President and his Renewed Hope Agenda,” Olofu said.
He urged Nigerians to disregard the reports, stressing that the claims were baseless and misleading.
