Father Mbaka has been removed from Adoration Ministry and his replacement is named.

He was replaced with Father Anthony Amadi who is now in charge of Adoration Ministry.

Recall that about three months ago, Adoration Ministry was shut down and reopened on Sunday, October 2.

Mbaka’s removal has sparked a lot of protest from his followers as they have decided not to worship again if Mbaka is not brought back.

“No priest will succeed in taking over Adoration Ministry. So long as Fr. Mbaka is not there, nobody will come there to worship. We the adorers will never accept any other priest.

“Fr. Mbaka suffered and built that place will sole effort. Now they have tactically hijacked the place through the backyard. Let’s see how they will succeed.”

The angry worshippers also attempted to mob the new priest while he was being introduced by Enugu Catholic Bishop Callistus Onaga.

Father Anthony Amadi had to be whisked away as the crowd surged to attack him.

Mbaka’s problems started after he was banned from commenting on partisan politics.

Shortly after the initial ban was lifted, Mbaka violated the ban and verbally attacked Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate, describing him as a ‘stingy man’.
