#Endbadgovernance Protest has commenced in Abuja.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the protest against economic hardship, hunger and bad governance has begun in Abuja.

 

Photos and videos on social media showed hundreds of young people singing expressing their grievances and calling for change.

Hardship protest: Benin protesters ignore govt’s directives, mount roadblocks on several roads


Hardship protest: Ugbowo in Benin Edo State calm and peaceful… protesters gather at Akpakpava Road, near Ring Road, the designated venue.


Hunger protesters on Thursday converged at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, in compliance with a court order restricting them to the facility.

Protesters gathered as early as 6 am singing solidarity songs. Present at the stadium are heavily armed security operatives.

Activists and groups had declared the protest in response to the economic hardship. The protests are expected to last for 10 days.
