Court has suspended APC National Chairman Ganduje from party.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that a High Court in Kano state has ordered the suspension of the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

This Nigeria news platform understands that the court, while granting an exparte order also restrained Ganduje from further parading himself as a member of the party.

The order was granted by Justice Usman Malam Na’abba of the High court.

The order followed an exparte motion filed Haladu Gwanjo and Laminu Sani by their counsel Ibrahim Sa’ad.

The plaintiffs, who identified as executive members of APC Ganduje ward, said they brought the motion on behalf of the executive members of the ward.

The court in its ruling said Ganduje should desist from presiding over all affairs of the National Working Committee (NWC) of APC.

Recalls that Gwanjo, who claimed to be the party’s ward Legal Adviser had announced the suspension of Ganduje.

Gwanjo, who cited alleged corruption and other vices as reasons for the suspension, said that the decision was taken by nine executive members of the party in Ganduje ward.

But, shortly after, Ganduje ward executives of APC in Kano state denied the reported suspension.

According to the ward chairman, Ahmad Ganduje, those purported to have announced the suspension were not members of the party.

In response to the development, the Kano State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, State Working Committee thwarted the suspension and sacked those behind the suspension of Ganduje.

The Chairman, Inusa Dawanau, while addressing reporters shortly after suspending Ganduje stated that those behind the suspension of the party’s national chairman were caught in anti-party activities, and their records of meetings with the opposition were exposed.
