2027 Elections Rigging Process

Paul Ibe has alleged that APC has begun 2027 elections rigging process.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Paul Ibe, media aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of laying the groundwork to rig the 2027 general elections.

Speaking on The African Settings Exchange Show on YouTube, Ibe alleged that the Bola Tinubu-led government is actively working to suppress opposition voices across independent media, civil society, and political parties.

“They (APC) have nothing to offer after more than two years in office. The only way for them to win an election is to begin the process of rigging it and that process has already started,” Ibe claimed.

He further accused President Tinubu of running the country in a dictatorial manner, warning that Nigeria’s fallen pro-democracy heroes would be alarmed by the erosion of democratic gains.

“The democracy we have practiced since 1999 was bought at a very high price,” Ibe said, recalling the sacrifices of Chief MKO Abiola, Major General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua, Abiola’s wife, and many activists who lost their lives in the struggle for democracy.

According to him, the current administration risks undoing the democratic foundations built through decades of sacrifice.
