The much-awaited 8th edition of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) All-Stars kicked off in grand style on July 23, 2023. This special season, aptly named the “All Star season,” has captured the hearts of fans nationwide. If you missed this week, these are some of the major highlights from this week.
The housemates who made a comeback included Cee-C from Double Wahala Season, Kiddwaya from Lockdown, Doyin from Level up season, Frodd from Pepper dem, Uriel from See Gobe, Pere from Shine Ya eyes, Princess from Double Wahala, Soma from See Gobe, Angel from Shine Ya Eyes, Neo from Lockdown, Alex from Double Wahala, Seyi from Pepper Dem, Ilebaye from the Level Up, Ike from Pepper Dem, Venita from Pepper Dem, Adekunle from Level Up, Tolani Baj from Lockdown, Cross from Shine Ya Eyes, Mercy Eke, the winner from Pepper Dem, and Whitemoney from Shine Ya Eyes.
On Monday, July 24th, the season saw its first head of the house challenge, which was won by Adekunle. The challenge tested the housemates’ memory skills, as they were given 60 seconds to memorize the contents of 20 boxes. Afterward, they had to dance to a music piece chosen by Big Brother and then pick an envelope from a black basket, finding the item mentioned in the envelope under the boxes they had opened.
In another challenge, the housemates were asked to search for a black envelope in the lounge. Mercy was the first to find it, earning her immunity from eviction for the week. However, tensions flared between Frodd and Seyi as they both struggled to grab the second envelope, leaving Frodd without immunity.
Throughout the week, the housemates bonded, but tensions flared between two former housemates, Cee-C and Alex. They engaged in a heated argument over their conflicting leadership styles during a task, showcasing their long-standing animosity. With the love triangle and conflicts unfolding, fans anticipated more thrilling moments in the coming weeks.
Another major highlight was also soiled by a love triangle involving Ilebaye, Tolanibaj, and Neo, which led to several disagreements and fights. Ilebaye had a heated altercation with Tolanibaj, and another fight occurred between Ilebaye and Venita. Additionally, Neo was seen sharing a kiss with another female housemate, Uriel, adding to the drama in the house.
Later in the week, an impromptu Diary Session with the All-Stars housemates introduced the weekly wager stake. Each housemate had to place a bet on whether the house would win their weekly wager challenge, with stakes ranging from 100 to 450 Moniepoint coins. Neo placed the highest bet of 450 coins.
