The YBNL superstar, Asake has now had 6 songs go No.1 over the last 8 months

 

Newsonline reports that Singer, Asake has now broken ties with Afrobeat Legend Davido on the Number of No.1’s they have both had on the turntable chart.

The singer as of last week was tied, after both having 5 songs go Number one on the Turntable chart since the chart was created two years ago. Asake has now gone ahead to break this tie, with his record of 6th Number one on the popular chart.

Over the last 8 months, Asake has had 6 songs go number 1. These songs are “Bandana” – Fireboy DML & Asake (7 weeks), “Terminator” – Asake (2 weeks), “Peace Be Unto You – Asake (2 weeks), “Organise” – Asake (1 week), “Sungba (Remix)” – Asake featuring Burna Boy (1 week), and “Omo Ope” – Asake featuring Olamide (1 week).

The singer has had the best run ever in the history of Afrobeat, with his debut album debuting on the top 100 of the Billboard 200 Album charts.
