Arewa Community APC Lagos has denied apologising to Timi Joshua over false report.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Arewa Community chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos has denied issuing an apology to one Timi Joshua, dismissing as false a purported press statement circulating in the media on Sunday, September 21, 2025.

This Nigeria news platform understands that the attention of the Lagos Arewa apex political body was drawn to the report by journalists seeking confirmation of its authenticity.

Speaking on behalf of the Board of Trustees (BOT), Secretary Alhaji Shehu Usman Jibril Sampam described the publication as concocted and clarified that it did not originate from the Arewa Community APC Lagos. He stressed that the report was a self-serving action by an unknown purveyor of misinformation.

The clarification comes in the wake of a reconciliatory meeting held on Friday, September 19, 2025, where the leadership and executives of the Lagos Arewa APC issued a statement reaffirming their official stance. The resolution explicitly disowned Timi Joshua from presenting himself as the spokesperson for the organization and barred him from any interference in the body’s affairs, citing that he has no official ties or prior authorization from Arewa Community APC Lagos.

Alhaji Sampam urged the public and media practitioners to disregard the misleading publication and rely only on official communications from the body.
