Withdraw Or Get Abiola Treatment -Fayose Writes Tinubu

Former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has written to Tinubu to withdraw or get Abiola treatment in the APC primary election.

 

Newsonline reports that the former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose has said the hand writing on the wall has shown that the cabals in the ruling All Progressive Congress do not want Ahmed Tinubu candidacy.

 

In an open letter, signed by Fayose, he warned the former Lagos State governor, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, to stay clear of the APC primary election, following the decision of the National Chairman, APC, Adamu, to announce Ahmad Lawal as the consensus candidate of APC.

 

Newsonline had reported that amid denials by the President Buhari spokespersons, source revealed that the president prefers Lawal to other candidates. Read more.

 

Fayose warned Tinubu that failing to withdraw will be putting himself to be ridiculed like Awolowo and Abiola.

 

“Going by the handwritings that are now clearly on the wall, if I may consider sir, I see you as one that may be swimming against the political tide of the cabal in your party.”

Ayo continued, “they are equally preparing for your actions and reactions and are fully set to contain same as they did to both Awolowo and Abiola.

 

“Unfortunately, your kingdom has been badly balkanised if what happened in Abeokuta is anything to go by.”

 

Fayose, PDP Chieftain, added, “for reasons of not being misrepresented, I will like to stop here and allow you to take your decisions, good or bad as a wise full-grown adult whom you are.

 

“The book of Proverbs 22 verse 3 reads, ‘Sensible people will see trouble coming and avoid it but unthinking people will walk into it’.”

 

MKO Abiola was the winner of 1993 general election which was cancelled by the then Military Head of State, Ibrahim Babaginda.
