APC Chieftain Urges Fubara to Sack Sole Administrator’s Appointees in Rivers State

Eze further demanded the reinstatement of lawmakers who had either resigned or worked with Fubara during the political crisis, stressing that this was necessary for peace to return in the state.

APC Chieftain has urged Fubara to sack Sole Administrator’s Appointees in Rivers State.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has called on Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, to immediately dismiss all appointees installed by the recently departed Sole Administrator during his six-month suspension.

Governor Fubara returned to the Government House in Port Harcourt on Friday, a day after the exit of Sole Administrator Ibok-Ette Ibas, who was appointed following President Bola Tinubu’s controversial six-month suspension of the governor.

Eze, a former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), described Ibas’s appointments as illegitimate and urged Fubara not to retain any of them.

“I expect the Governor to sack all the appointees of the illegal Sole Administrator and ensure that nobody imposes commissioners or aides on him. Even Wike has promised not to engage in such devilish acts,” he stated.

Eze further demanded the reinstatement of lawmakers who had either resigned or worked with Fubara during the political crisis, stressing that this was necessary for peace to return in the state.

He also appealed to President Tinubu to provide Fubara with assurances of protection from any impeachment attempts by members of the State Assembly.

“The Governor must be assured that he is not being set up for further embarrassment by funny members of the State Assembly. Otherwise, he should invoke his full powers as the Executive Governor of Rivers State,” Eze warned.
