NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington has opened up about a near-death experience she faced in June while in the United Kingdom with her husband, Banky W, and their two sons.

In an emotional Instagram post, Adesua revealed that she underwent an unexpected surgery that nearly claimed her life, describing the ordeal as both frightening and life-changing.

“I could have lost my life in June,” she wrote. “What I went through was horrific and ended with an unplanned surgery — and strangely, the surgery itself turned out to be the least dramatic part of it all.”

Adesua revealed that the incident happened while she was in the UK for two speaking engagements.

She attributed her survival to divine intervention, explaining that every detail of that day unfolded in a way that ultimately saved her life.

“If even one single detail had been different, I wouldn’t be here today. When I think about it, I shudder,” she said.

The Sugar Rush star shared that the experience strengthened her faith and deepened her appreciation for life.

“There’s nothing anyone can tell me — God is real,” she affirmed.

Adesua encouraged her followers to cherish every day and embrace kindness and compassion.

“Let’s choose to be softer, kinder, gentler, forgiving, patient, loving, and peaceful. I’ll never take another day for granted — neither should you,” she added.
