APC has endorsed President Bola Tinubu as 2027 Presidential Candidate and opened the door for other aspirants.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC) has officially endorsed President Bola Tinubu as its sole candidate for the 2027 presidential election.

The announcement was made on Wednesday by APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, during a press conference at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.

Argungu emphasized that while President Tinubu has received the party’s endorsement, other APC members remain free to contest for the presidential nomination.

“It is the wish of the party, and the NWC has already endorsed President Tinubu as the next presidential candidate of the party. This endorsement has been replicated across all six geopolitical zones of the country,” Argungu stated.

He added, “However, this does not mean the door is closed. When the time comes, the party will announce its timetable, and any aspirant wishing to contest for the presidency on the APC platform will have the opportunity to purchase nomination forms.”

The APC’s announcement underscores the party’s early consolidation around Tinubu, while maintaining a formal pathway for other aspirants to participate in the primaries.
