Daar Communications has sacked Tosin Dokpesi and Tony Akiotu among other directors.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Daar Communications Plc, owners of Africa Independent Television (AIT) and RayPower, has asked directors who have spent 10 years and above in executive positions to go on retirement.
A source close to the company told NewsOnline Nigeria that the retirement will take effect in November.

Among those affected are Tony Akiotu, Tosin Dokpesi, Ambrose Somide, Paulyn Ugbodaga and Tony Uyah.
“About 11 directors that have spent 10 years and above have been asked to go on retirement. One of them is Tosin Dokpesi who is the widow of our founder and chairman Chief Raymond Dokpesi,” a worker who did not want their name disclosed told NewsOnline. Daar Communications founder Raymond Dokpesi died on May 29, 2023. His son Raymond Dokpesi Jr has been chairman since 2019. The company posted a loss of N1.6 billion for the year ended December 31, 2023.
