Governor Sanwo-Olu has gifted all Lagos Corps Members 100k each.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that on Tuesday, the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu splurged a whopping N427.7 million on 4,277 corps members serving in the State.

 

This Nigeria news platform understands that Governor Sanwo-Olu said each corps member would receive N100,000 in cash.

He also announced a donation of N100 million to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and support staff.

The governor spoke at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 orientation course for 4,277 corps members in Lagos, held at the NYSC camp, Iyana Ipaja area of the state.

 

The governor also approved the sum of N5 billion for the building of NYSC permanent site in Igando area of the state.

 

Sanwo-Olu further announced automatic employment for 100 corps members in the public service after their service year.

 

He charged the corps members to actively engage with local communities, address challenges, and contribute to meaningful projects, urging them to exemplify the lessons of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork that they had imbibed during their time in the camp.
