Peter Obi is set to address a world press conference on the Supreme Court verdict affirming Bola Tinubu as the duly elected President.

Newsonline Nigeria reports that Nigeria’s opposition party, the Labour Party (LP) has taken to X page to reveal that the party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 Presidential election, Peter Obi, will address a World Press Conference from his campaign headquarters in Abuja today by 2 p.m.

This Nigeria news platform gathered that Peter Obi is expected to react to the Supreme Court’s judgement, affirming Bola Tinubu as the validly elected president of Nigeria.

Atiku of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had addressed the press days after the ruling, stating his dissatisfaction with the verdict.

He also stated that Nigeria is the loser after the verdict from the Supreme Court justices.

The apex court had agreed with the September 6 verdict of the Presidential Election Petition Court on all counts.

The seven-man panel of the apex court led by Justice Inyang Okoro, in a unanimous judgment, resolved the seven issues for determination in the appeals filed by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Obi in favour of Tinubu.

The apex court, in its lead judgment, prepared and read by Justice Inyang Okoro, held that there was no merit in Atiku/PDP and Obi/LP’s petitions to nullify the election outcome.
