Police Council has confirmed Kayode Egbetokun as IGP.
Newsonline Nigeria reports that Police Council on Tuesday, confirmed Kayode Egbetokun as the Inspector-General of Police (IGP).
This Nigeria news platform recalls that President Bola Tinubu retired Usman Baba to appoint Egbetokun as the acting IGP in June.

The Police Council, which confirmed Egbetokun’s appointment was chaired by the President, and had the presence of the 36 governors, the Minister of the FCT, the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Solomon Arase.
Minister of Police Affairs, Ibrahim Gaidam, announced Egbetokun’s confirmation to state house correspondents after the meeting.
Gaidam highlighted Egbetokun’s impressive curriculum vitae and international exposure.
