Ten Hag has explained motives behind Martinez substitution at half time in Wolves match.

Newsonline Nigeria report that Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, it has been disclosed that Lisandro Martinez was substituted during halftime in their recent 1-0 triumph over Wolves due to an injury concern.

Despite the setback, ten Hag maintains an optimistic outlook, expressing hope that the defender’s absence from the team will be relatively brief.

Martinez encountered a challenging start to the match at Old Trafford on Monday, and his performance was marred by a booking for a reckless tackle on Pedro Neto. The manager’s decision to prioritize Martinez’s well-being underlines the importance of player safety above all else.

Following the match, Erik ten Hag, Manchester United’s manager, took the opportunity to address Lisandro Martinez’s substitution and refute any assumptions that it was motivated by a desire to prevent the Argentine from receiving a red card. Instead, ten Hag revealed that Martinez was dealing with a slight problem in his ankle tendon, which prompted the decision to bring him off.

However, he reassured fans and supporters by expressing his belief that it’s not a significant issue and stated that they will closely monitor Martinez’s progress throughout the week to determine his availability for future matches.

The well-being of the players remains a top priority for the team, and the coaching staff will do what it takes to ensure a swift recovery for Martinez.
