International Football Legend, Kanu Nwankwo, has said he did not endorse the candidacy of Bola Tinubu as being circulated by APC presidential campaign council.
NewsOnline reports that Papilo said he is not a politician and cannot recommend any candidate for Nigerians who love him.
Kanu Nwankwo, Super Eagles and Arsenal Legend said he is for the best candidate which he believes every Nigerian knows since the campaign for the presidential election started.
kanu’s clarification followed a video posted by Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign council spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, posted on his Twitter handle.
In the video posted by Onanuga, Kanu was seen saying that he will vote for the former governor of Lagos State because he helped him with five million naira when he was starting his heart foundation.

Papilo as he is popularly known – in reaction to the video described it as fake news. He warned that his name should not be used to campaign for any politician.
In a one-minute eighteen seconds video, the two-time Africa best player said he is for the best presidential candidate which Nigerians know. He advised Nigerians to know the fake news spread in the video posted by Onanuga and get their PVCs to vote for the best candidate.
“Hello my country people. Do what is right and vote. Kindly stop spreading fake news in my name that I ask you to vote for anyone am not the one to choose who you will vote for so stop this rubbish with my name and go and get your PVC and vote am not a politician.”
