MTN Network Outage has hit Lagos, Oyo, Rivers, Delta, and FCT.
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that MTN Nigeria has confirmed a network outage affecting subscribers in Lagos, Oyo, Rivers and Delta states, as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The telecommunications operator disclosed the disruption in a statement posted on X on Thursday, warning customers that its services might be temporarily unavailable in the affected areas.
MTN said its engineers were working to restore services as quickly as possible.
“Network Outage Alert! We’re experiencing network challenges in some parts of Oyo, Lagos, Rivers, FCT and Delta States and our services may be temporarily unavailable as a result.

“Our engineers are working to restore services as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding,” the company said.
The outage could affect subscribers’ ability to make calls, send text messages and access mobile internet services in the affected locations, depending on the extent of the disruption.
MTN, however, did not specify the cause of the network outage or provide a timeline for the full restoration of services in its statement.
The development comes after the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the country’s telecommunications regulator, directed operators to notify subscribers of network disruptions.
The directive is aimed at improving transparency and ensuring that customers receive timely information about service interruptions.
Subscribers in the affected areas are expected to monitor MTN’s official communication channels for further updates on the restoration of services.
