Boko Haram has issued 72-hour ultimatum and threatened to kill 416 captives.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that terrorists group, Boko Haram has issued a 72-hour ultimatum to the Nigerian government over 416 individuals it claims to be holding captive.

The victims were reportedly abducted in Borno State, a region that has experienced prolonged insurgency.

In a video circulating online, a masked spokesperson for the group warned that failure to meet its demands within the deadline could result in severe consequences for the captives, including women and children.

The group stated that urgent action is required before the expiration of the ultimatum, describing the message as its “first and last” communication on the matter.

While the group confirmed it is holding 416 captives, it did not clearly outline specific demands in the video.

The development adds to ongoing security concerns in Nigeria’s North-East, where authorities continue efforts to combat insurgency and secure the release of abducted civilians.
