Police Council has confirmed Tunji Disu as Inspector-General of Police.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Nigeria Police Council, NPC, has confirmed Tunji Disu as the Inspector-General of Police, IGP.

 

The Council confirmed Disu on Monday during a meeting at the Presidential Villa, in Abuja.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu appointed Disu as acting IGP on February 24, 2026, after the resignation of Kayode Egbetokun.

The President, thereafter, decorated him the following day, February 25.
