A source has disclosed why Osinbajo and  Amaechi wiill not campaign for Tinubu.

This online media platform observed that the likes of the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, and former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi have failed to contribute openly since the defeat at the presidential primary of the party.

Amaechi who has been the campaign Director-General of the ruling party in the last two elections has not expressed his support for Tinubu.

While Osinbajo was missing from the presidential campaign council of APC, Amaechi has refused to accept or reject his inclusion in the list.

Tinubu is not pleased with Osinbajo and Amaechi for contesting against him in the primary of the party, a source who spoke on the crisis in the ruling party disclosed
Daily Post.

According to the source, “Most people take it as a mere joke when Tinubu says becoming Nigerian President is a childhood dream. This is something he had dreamt of and worked for all his life. He should have been Vice President in 2015 if not for this Muslim-Muslim ticket and it would have been easier for him now but he gave that up and nominated one of his boys, Osinbajo for that position.

“When the Northern Governors agreed that it was Tinubu’s turn after weeks of intense politicking, he didn’t expect any of the aspirants to contest with him in the primary, that’s the truth. But Osinbajo and Amaechi dragged on and since then, the relationship has not been the same. He’s not the one who included Amaechi in his campaign team. Tinubu was more interested in bringing Governor Nyesom Wike to his side than Amaechi.”

The source disclosed that Amaechi does not believe in Tinubu and feels betrayed by the presidential primary of the ruling party.

According to the source, the statement of Amaechi after the primary of APC didn’t sink well with Tinubu’s camp, adding that anybody expecting the former minister to work for Tinubu is wasting their time.

The source further stated that it’s not a coincidence that Osinbajo is not named in the presidential campaign council, adding that, he should be one of the persons spearheading the campaign.

The source added, “Before I end, let me say this when someone says he’s fine, can’t Nigerians just respect that? It’s his health for Christ’s sake and no one knows better about your health than you. No doubt in my heart that our presidential candidate will win the 2023 presidential election for our great party with or without the support of these people. He has the structures on the ground but the truth is it would be easier for us with their support.”

Meanwhile, disclosed he has forgiven the Vice president, yemi Osibanjo and is realy to work with every one to achieve the win the presidential election in 2023.

The two time Lagos State governor said this in Kano, while addressing some political support groups loyal to Osinbajo during the APC presidential primaries.

Tinubu who said he has nothing against Osinbajo noted that he visited the him at his house after the primaries, and also interacted with him during the ministerial retreat.
