In a major addition, the platform has also unveiled YouTube Recap, a new personalized feature that lets users revisit their own year of viewing on the platform.

For the first time, YouTube users in Nigeria can dive into their own viewing trends through the newly launched YouTube Recap, a shareable, personalized summary of their year on the platform.
The experience highlights your most-watched creators, favorite topics and total watch time, and introduces a new “Personality Type” card that assigns one of 14 fun viewing personas from Adventurer to Sunshiner. The feature also reveals whether you ranked among the top 25% of a creator’s global fan base.
Users can access their Recap directly from the homepage of the YouTube app via the dedicated recap banner.
Addy Awofisayo, Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa at YouTube, praised the creativity powering Nigeria’s digital ecosystem.
