Tinubu Working Against Return Of Sunday Igboho Until After Election- Source

The coming back of Yoruba Nation Agitator Sunday Igboho before the 2023 election is been worked against by the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu, a source reveals.

Newsonline reports that according to the source, Tinubu and other South West APC stakeholders are against the idea of his coming back because he would be a distraction to the ambition.

The Source who spoke with Daily Post added that Tinubu would not want what will severe relationship with Northern voters who may be angered by Igboho’s Yoruba Nation agitation if he comes back before 2023 election.

According to the source, “He won’t come back now, maybe anytime after the elections have been decided.

“His return would create a charged atmosphere and re-ignite the agitation and protests.

“The government is dealing with a lot already and would not allow this to happen…not with Buhari still in power.”

Speaking on how Sunday Adeyemo’s (Sunday Igboho) presence will affect the presidential ambition of Bola Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State and one of the major contenders for the 2023 election, the source said Ahmed Tinubu will not afford Igboho to jeopardize his ambition.

“Apart from that, Igboho’s presence in Nigeria will affect the presidential ambition of who we all know.

“He cannot afford anything that will jeopardize his ambition, or create a clash with the North,” the source added.

At Bishop Ajayi Crowther’s posthumous birthday celebration in Ibadan, Oyo State, last week Igboho, who got an honorary doctorate degree in conflict management and peace from a United States university hinted he would be back shortly.

Igboho said the activities of Fulani herdsmen will be checked once he returns. He also promised that the Yoruba Nation will be achieved soon for the independence of the South West people.

“I thank you all for your support. By God’s grace, the Fulani’s herdsmen activities against our people will end in our land.

“The Yoruba Nation will soon be achieved and it will be better than all the nations in the world.

“Our agitation is an idea whose time has come. I will come back to Yorubaland soon”, he said.

Igboho caused a stir in January 2021 when he issued a quit notice to Fulanis in Oyo. He accused them of murder and kidnappings.
