2023 Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) with a radical agenda to pull Nigeria out of the doldrums, Omoyele Sowore has slammed the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi for inspecting the private hospital of his vice-presidential candidate Yusuf Datti-Ahmad in Abuja.
Newsonline reports that Sowore said Peter Obi ought to have been inspecting an international University Teaching Hospital he claimed he built as governor of Anambra and not a private hospital.
Earlier on Wednesday, the former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi and his vice-presidential candidate Yusuf Baba Datti-Ahmad visited the hospital of Baze University built by Datti in Abuja.
Peter Obi at the inspection described the hospital as awesome, stating that such private investments would help reduce medical tourism in the country.
Obi said, “This morning, I had the privilege of visiting the Baze University Hospital in Abuja and inspecting the facilities. Dr Datti Baba-Ahmed was on hand to show me around.
“This institution is exemplary and reflective of a centre of excellence, and what domestic entrepreneurs and investors can contribute to nation-building. With several more facilities like this, medical tourism for Nigerians will be a thing of the past. This is simply awesome.
Reacting to the Labour Party presidential candidate’s inspection and praise of the private hospital by his vice-presidential candidate Sowore said, “I thought you and Datti would be inspecting the international standard “University Teaching Hospital” they claimed you built while you were governor of Anambra state and not a private hospital built by Datti, which obviously is not accessible/affordable to majority Of Nigerians!”
