NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the stakeholders of the Arewa Community in Southwest Nigeria have reaffirmed their commitment to mobilising support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 general elections.
The pledge was made during a courtesy visit to the Coordinator of the Arewa Community in the Southwest, Alhaji Shehu Usman Jibril (popularly known as Sampam), by HRH Alhaji Ahmed Haruna Kuraja, Chairman of the Chieftaincy Council of Arewa Community, Alimosho, and Ibrahim Abubakar Jagaba, leader of the Arewa Community in Alimosho, Lagos State’s largest local government area.
The meeting, which held at the Mile 12 International Groceries Market where Alhaji Jibril also serves as Chairman of the Market Executives brought together Arewa political stakeholders and community leaders.
Welcoming his guests, Alhaji Jibril described the visit as a renewed strategic effort to consolidate grassroots support for President Tinubu and ensure a decisive victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.
In his remarks, HRH Alhaji Ahmed Haruna Kuraja praised Jibril for his sacrifices and selfless service to the Arewa Community, pledging continued support for his vision and leadership.
Ibrahim Abubakar Jagaba, also commended Jibril’s stewardship, noting his transformative leadership at the Mile 12 hub as proof of his ability to galvanise the Arewa Community across the Southwest.
“Alhaji Shehu Sampam embodies the qualities of impactful leadership,” Jagaba said. “As one of the youth opinion leaders of the Arewa Community, I am committed to supporting his efforts to deliver a second-term victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC, while ensuring prosperity for our people.”
The meeting was seen as a significant step in consolidating Arewa political structures in the Southwest ahead of the 2027 polls.
