Polaris Bank Partners with Men’s Health Clinic to Offer Free Prostate Cancer Screening for 250 Men

With only 250 free slots available, registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Results and personalized health counseling will be provided within 48 hours of the screening.

Polaris Bank has partnered with Men’s Health Clinic to offer free prostate cancer screening for 250 men in celebration of International Men’s Day.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Polaris Bank is proud to announce the launch of its 2025 prostate cancer screening initiative, continuing its commitment to men’s health in partnership with Men’s Health Clinic. This program, themed “Men, Your Health Matters – Get Screened Today!”, will offer free prostate cancer screenings to 250 Nigerian men aged 40 and above from November 24 to December 31, 2025.

Following the success of its 2024 initiative, which provided early detection and saved lives, Polaris Bank is fully sponsoring this year’s screenings, which will include a painless and confidential PSA blood test, Digital Rectal Examination (DRE), and one-on-one consultations with medical specialists.

Prostate cancer remains the second most common cancer among Nigerian men, but early detection significantly improves survival rates, with over 98% of cases being treatable if caught early. With this initiative, Polaris Bank aims to remove the barriers to timely screenings, providing life-saving opportunities to the men who need it most.

Kayode Lawal, Managing Director/CEO of Polaris Bank, commented: “The incredible impact of last year’s program has only strengthened our resolve to continue making a difference in the lives of Nigerian men. We are proud to offer this essential health service again, and we look forward to welcoming more men into the Polaris Bank family with the same seamless, supportive banking experience we’re known for.”

Mr. Akin Oteniya, Founder and Chief Medical Director of Men’s Health Clinic, added: “Our partnership with Polaris Bank last year set a new benchmark for corporate health responsibility in Nigeria. We are thrilled to continue this collaboration in 2025, helping more men access expert, dignified care that can save lives through early detection.”

The screening is open to all men aged 40 and above. To participate, individuals must either have a Polaris Bank account or open one, with no initial deposit or fees required. Non-customers can quickly open an account as part of the registration process.

With only 250 free slots available, registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Results and personalized health counseling will be provided within 48 hours of the screening.

This initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by promoting access to preventative healthcare, reducing mortality from non-communicable diseases through early detection, and fostering health equity for Nigerian men.
