Newsonline reports that Reno who is strongly campaigning for the PDP presidential ticket holder Atiku, stated that Datti is highly cerebral with strong political clout.
Reno said the choice of Datti, an accomplisher at an early age brings something power to the presidential ticket of Labour Party.
Newsonline had reported that Doyin Okupe, on Thursday submitted his withdrawal letter to INEC from the position of placeholder running mate to Peter Obi.
Labour Party, had submitted the name of Doyin Okupe, Peter Obi Campaign Organization Director-General, as running mate to beat the June 17 deadline given by INEC.
Reno Omokri on his Twitter handle said, “Dr. @dattibabaahmedis an excellent VP choice, if the news is true. Highly cerebral. Accomplished from an early age. We welcome him into the race to Aso Rock and hope his inclusion on the ticket will energise the youth, especially as he is an investor in education.”
Speaking on the political clout of Senator Datti, Reno asked, “Are you aware he defeated former Kaduna Governor, Ahmed Makarfi? The most foolish thing anyone can do is to underestimate Datti Baba Ahmed. He brings something powerful to the ticket, and you don’t need to support Labour to see it!”
No official statement has been given about Datti as the Labour Party vice-presidential candidate, however, Doyin Okupe on a live television programme confirmed the owner of Baze University Abuja, Datti was seriously been considered.
