Peter Obi Came At The Right Time, Nigeria Is On The Verge Of Collapse – Datti

Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed has disclosed that Peter Obi came at the right time to rescue the country, stating that Nigeria is on the verge of collapse.

 

Newsonline reports that the Labour Party vice-presidential candidate also enjoined supporters of Labour Party who are mostly youths to stand up to those who try to intimidate them with Labour Party has no structure.

 

Datti, who hails from the royal family in Zaria, Kaduna State told his supporters that the 50 million youths that Tinubu, All Progressive Congress, the presidential candidate said he would recruit into the army and feed them with cassava instead of a better life are the structures of Labour Party.

 

“Peter Obi came at the right time. Nigeria is on the verge of collapse and is in need of a passionate leader with a burning desire to salvage it and set it on the path of growth and productivity.

 

“Ordinary Nigerians are going to make history in 2023. Tell everyone around you to be part of this history. We are on course for victory. We are taking back our country,” Datti said.

 

While encouraging supporters of the Labour Party to be civil, Datti told his supporters not to allow themselves to be cowed by any person.

 

He said, “When they said they don’t have structure, they are not belittling Peter Obi or Labour Party, they are belittling Nigerians. Nigerians are the structure.

“Be civil while engaging people but do not be intimated, let no one cow you. Hold your head high and market Peter Obi, you have the most competent pair of candidates.

 

“Peter Obi is an idea whose time has come. Always be quick to tell them that the 50 million youths they intend to recruit into the army after looting their future are the structure. Badly governed Nigerians are the structure and they will enthrone a government of the people come 2023.”

 

The vice-presidential candidate of the Labour Party and a former Senator of Kaduna Central Senatorial District said the time has come for Nigerians, and youths to take back their country from bad leaders.

 

“It’s time to take back our country and the Nigerian people will make this.

 

“The agenda is simple; to move Nigeria from consumption to production and set it on the path of growth and development. With PO at the helm, it’s PO-ssible.
