Newsonline reports that the presiding Bishop of the Faith Tabernacle in Ota, Ogun State, said there should be no fear on whether the election will be peaceful.
Speaking on Friday at the Covenant University Chapel, Oyedepo said among the three major contenders one is God’s choice. He added that God has assured there will not be spilling of blood during the election.
Dr. Oyedepo, who is the Chancellor and Chairman Board of Regents of Covenant University, Otta prayed for Nigeria and the 1, 934 graduands – 1,677 Bachelor holders and 257 postgraduate graduates of the 21-year-old university.
“Nigeria’s forthcoming election will be peaceful. There shall be no bloodletting, no blood will be shed. There shall be peace and God’s voice candidate will emerge to rule Nigeria,” he prayed.
He added, “Nigeria will enjoy good security again. There shall be peace on land, at sea, in the air and everywhere.”
Speaking into the lives of the students, “You will never lose the track of heaven in your life. I pray that none of you will cause heartache for your parents. I pray for your ultimate success in life. I pray for your ultimate settlement in marriage. You will be happily settled. None of you shall die young, your days shall not be cut short in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.”
Being the 17th convocation, the Chancellor assured parents and guests at the convocation that the university remains committed, focused and sincere to helping students build a solid foundation of life, destiny and posterity.
