1. Hon Abdulmumin Jibrin, a Rep-Elect, has said Governor Abdullahi Ganduje consented to the meeting that President-elect Bola Tinubu held with Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso in France. Tinubu and Kwankwaso met for four hours on Monday.

2. President-elect Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria eight days to his inauguration as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of The Federal Republic of Nigeria. The incoming president returned to the country on Saturday after a week in Europe.

3. The 650,000 barrels per day (BPD) Dangote Oil Refinery, which President Muhammadu Buhari would inaugurate tomorrow, is expected to meet 100 per cent of Nigeria’s demand for all refined products. Products expected to be produced in tonnes daily include premium motor spirit (PMS), diesel (AGO), aviation jet fuel and dual purpose kerosene (DPK), among others, thus raising the hope of Nigerians.

4. Two policemen said to be attached to the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) were yesterday killed by gunmen in Ngor Okpala Junction in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State. The gunmen, suspected to be members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), were said to have attacked the police personnel who were conducting a stop and search operation at a checkpoint in the area.

5. A member of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Muritala Yakubu Ajaka, has resigned. The former NWC member conveyed his resignation in a letter to Senator Abdullahi Adamu, National Working Committee (NWC) member of the party.

6. Nollywood actor, Tobi Bakre has clinched the prestigious award for Best Actor in a Drama for his role in the series “Brotherhood.” Tobi Bakre’s captivating performance in “Brotherhood” had left a lasting impression on viewers.

7. No fewer than 12 people have lost their lives in a road accident in Gbongan, along Ife-Ibadan Expressway, Osun State. When contacted on Saturday, the spokesperson for the Osun command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kehinde Adeleke, confirmed the accident and warned motorists against speeding and disregarding traffic laws.

8. The Federal Government says it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) and the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD), geared towards halting the five-day nationwide warning strike of resident doctors.

9. The Labour Party (LP) and its presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, have told the election petition court that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has denied them access to carry out forensic examination on the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System (BVAS) in flagrant disobedience of the order of the court.

10. Manchester City have been crowned Premier League champions for the third successive season after title rivals Arsenal lost at Nottingham Forest. The Gunners, top for the majority of the campaign, are four points behind City with only one game left to play after being beaten 1-0 on Saturday.
