Neto Signs, Pepe Sold- Arsenal £200m Transfer To-Do List Amid Arteta Demand

Arsenal's squad could still change before the summer transfer window closes with Mikel Arteta keen to add more signings to his team

Arsenal have been one of the busiest Premier League clubs in the summer transfer window, with more business expected to be completed before the transfer deadline.

Newsonline report that Mikel Arteta has made his transfer demands well-known to the public as he outlined the Gunners intentions to sign more players ‘if the market allows it’ following the Premier League opening day 2-0 win over Crystal Palace. Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner and Marquinhos have all joined Arsenal so far this summer, with the north Londoners thought to be interested in a central midfielder and winger.

A number of fringe players have already been sold on, with Bernd Leno and Lucas Torreira joining Fulham and Galatasaray, respectively.

Nuno Tavares, Pablo Mari and Alex Runarsson have all left the club on-loan for the 2022/23 campaign, but the futures of Nicolas Pepe, Hector Bellerin and Ainsley Maitland-Niles continue to shrouded with uncertainty as we edge closer to deadline day.

Wolves star Pedro Neto is just one name that has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer after reports suggested technical director Edu is looking to sign a ‘mystery winger’. 90min reported that Neto had been offered to the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea with the 22-year-old potentially available to sign before the window shuts at the end of the month.

football.london understands Arsenal are willing to wait until 2023 to sign Leicester star Youri Tielemans after having already agreed personal terms with the Belgian midfielder months ago.

However, should interest from rival clubs firm up in the final weeks of the transfer window, the Gunners could be forced into making a move earlier than anticipated for the Belgium international.
