Mahanaim FC’s Yakubu has officially signed with Czech club Slovan Liberec, marking a major step in his football career.

Newsonline Nigeria reports that Joel Yakubu has finalized his transfer to Czech Republic Premier League side Slovan Liberec from Mahanaim FC.

The 18-year-old midfielder secured a three-year deal after passing his medical examinations successfully.

Yakubu has garnered attention for his outstanding abilities in central midfield, positioning him as an exciting addition to the Czech top-flight team. This move marks a pivotal moment in his young career as he prepares to showcase his talent on the European stage.

Yakubu’s standout performances for Mahanaim drew the attention of Slovan Liberec officials, leading to his transfer.

In a related move, fellow Mahanaim player Yahaya Lawali also completed a transfer this week, joining Czech club MFK Karvina. Lawali, a former Golden Eaglets defender, continues to build on his growing reputation with the switch to European football.
