Kaduna-Abuja Train Attack: Senator Sani To Join Protests On Insecurity

As long as they remain hostage in hands of terrorists, the people of North-western Nigeria and the whole country will never be free and comfortable

Following the continuous detention of Kaduna-Abuja train attack victims, with no near hope of their returning back, Senator Sani has disclosed he will embark on street protest with the families of victims.

Newsonline reports that Senator Sani said that as long as victims of the train attack remain in captivity, the families can not live comfortably.

Recall that bandits three months ago attacked a train heading to Kaduna from Abuja, and kidnapped all the victims who could not escape.

Among the victims is the son of Northern Elders Forums spokesman, Hameed Ahmed-baba.

Speaking with the family of the victims of the train attack, Senator Shehu Sani, who represented Kaduna Central in the 7th senate said he was out to support the families and join in the march to demand government action to ensure the quick rescue of the hostages.

Senator Sani stated that he is joining the protest against insecurity and demanding the release of the hostages because no price paid to get the victims out from their captives is too much.

Senator Sani said, “As long as they remain hostage in hands of terrorists, the people of North-western Nigeria and the whole country will never be free and comfortable.

“What is very clear to every one of us is that the life of every hostage is more important than any price we are going to pay to get them out. There is no price that is too much to get this hostage out of captivity

“The terrorists have made their demands and I believe it is not too much for the federal government to do all that is needed to get this hostage out of captivity.”
