NewsOnline reports that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says the board is working on a new USSD code for the 2022/2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration and other essential services offered by the board.
As part of the board preparation for a hitch-free 2022 UTME and direct entry registration exercise, the board is putting finishing touches to all arrangements for the institution of an additional USSD Code to be used by candidates besides the 55019 that had been in operation since 2018 for registration and other essential services.
Also, The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced Computer Studies and Physical and Health Education as part of its UTME subjects.
It said that candidates sitting for the UTME could now pick Computer Studies or Physical and Health Education as part of the four required UTME subjects, if they so desire or as dictated by their programme preferences.
The board said that the addition of the two subjects to the existing 23 UTME subjects would commence from the 2022 UTME exercise.
Furthermore, JAMB has adjusted its examination timelines for the conduct of the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).
