NewsOnline reports that Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, an elder statesman, has taken over as President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, succeeding the late Prof. George Obiozor.
On Wednesday at the Government House in Owerri, a delegation from the Imo Elders Council, led by its chairman HRM Eze Cletus Ilomuanya, gave the governor of the Imo State Iwuanyanwu.
Ilomuanya told Uzodinma that the decision to adopt Iwuanyanwu was taken by the Imo State Council of Elders at its meeting in April in Owerri.
While appealing to the governor to grant his approval to the adoption by the council, Ilomuanya described Iwuanyanwu as a versatile, dynamic and broad-minded personality.
