The fight for President Buhari’s impeachment has gotten more boost from his party senators, as Senator Abbo, APC, Adamawa, has said he supports the president’s impeachment plot.

Newsonline reports that the National Women Leader of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, Dr. Betta Edu also stated that the 2023 general election is for the young people to use and determine their destiny.

Senator Ishaku Elisha Abbo who represents Adamawa North Senatorial District said he backed the move to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari because he has failed to protect the lives and properties of the citizens.

Senator Abbo lamented that Nigerians are kidnapped and killed every day with the president doing nothing about the situation.

Speaking at an event organized by APC Young Progressive Women Forum in Abuja on Friday, the APC National Women Leader, Betty Edu said, “Young people, especially women, will largely determine the coming election.”

“We have started ‘operation 1000 young women per ward.

“These women will anchor for young women in a given ward. We must make it happen in our various wards in all the states”, she charged the women.

In an interview with Channels Television, Senator Abbo said, “I’m in full support of the impeachment move against the President.

“The Nigerian leader has failed in his fundamental responsibility to secure the lives and property of the people.”

Newsonline had reported that Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, senators on Wednesday staged a walk-out during the session of the red chamber to protest the rising insecurity in the country.

The PDP senators on Wednesday gave the president a six weeks ultimatum to address the insecurity in the country or face impeachment proceedings.
