President Trump has given Iran 48-hour ultimatum and warned of “severe consequences”.

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Donald Trump has issued a 48-hour warning to Iran, saying the country must reach an agreement with the United States or face serious consequences.

In a post shared Saturday on Truth Social, the U.S. president said time was running out for Tehran to comply with Washington’s demands.

“Time is running out – 48 hours before all Hell will rain down on them,” Trump wrote, adding, “Glory be to GOD!”

He also referenced what he described as a previous ultimatum given to Iranian authorities to either reach a deal with Washington or reopen the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.

The warning comes amid escalating tensions between the United States and Iran following weeks of heightened military and political standoffs across the Gulf region.

Washington has continued to push for a comprehensive agreement that would require Tehran to abandon its nuclear weapons ambitions, including uranium enrichment, while also scaling back its ballistic missile programme and regional influence.

In exchange, U.S. officials have signalled the possibility of easing economic sanctions currently imposed on Iran.

Trump’s latest remarks also come after reports that a Boeing F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jet from the United States went down over Iranian territory on Friday, with search and rescue operations ongoing for a missing crew member.

Although the U.S. president did not directly address the aircraft incident, it has heightened concerns over a possible escalation between Washington and Tehran, raising fears of a broader conflict in the Middle East.
