
Newsonline had earlier reported that the West African Examination Council (WAEC) on Monday, released the results of candidates who sat for the 2021 West African Senior School Certificate Examination in Nigeria.
Mr Patrick Areghan, Head of the Nigeria National Office of the Council made the announcement during a press briefing.
WAEC has now asked candidates should check their results through its website using the checker PIN on their smart identity cards used for the examination.
He said, ”Candidates can visit the WAEC Direct Online website to check their result.”
Areghan also disclosed that the percentage of candidates who obtained credit and above in a minimum of five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, was 65.24%, said there is an appreciable 16.46% improvement in performance in this regard.
He added that the results of 170,146 candidates, representing 10.9% of the total number of candidates who sat the examination, are being withheld in connection with various reported cases of examination malpractice.
