EFCC Arrests 22 ‘Yahoo Boys’ In Benin City, Recovers 10 Exotic Cars, Others

EFCC has arrested 22 suspected ‘Yahoo Boys’ in Benin City and recovered 10 exotic cars among others.

 

NewsOnline Nigeria reports that a total of ten (10) suspected internet fraudsters, popularly known as “Yahoo Boys” have been arrested by operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

 

The suspects were arrested on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 based on actionable intelligence regarding their suspected involvement in internet- related fraud.

According to a statement issued on Wednesday evening by the Head, Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Dele Oyewale, items recovered from the “Yahoo Boys” include 10 exotic cars, laptops and phones.

 

He said the suspects will be charged in court as soon as investigations are concluded.
