NewsOnline Nigeria reports that Ten-man Bayer Leverkusen beat Stuttgart 4-3 on penalties in the German Super Cup on Saturday after a 2-2 draw.
Victor Boniface’s early goal was cancelled out by Stuttgart’s Enzo Millot before Martin Terrier saw red for Leverkusen before half-time.
Deniz Undav gave Stuttgart the lead in the second half but Patrik Schick scored for the German champions with two minutes remaining and Leverkusen came out on top in the shootout to win the competition for the first time.
