Peter Obi and Tinubu
NewsOnline Nigeria reports that the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), has described the unprovoked media attacks by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, against the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, as an indication that President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, is jittery of losing the 2027 poll to Obi
This is as the pro-Biafra movement, strongly condemned APC’s Spokesperson, Felix Morka’s response to Obi’s New Year message
MASSOB said that the threatening Obi’s life, family members and close relations by the APC’s Spokesperson “is a direct expression of jittery and fear over President Tinubu’s end of APC -led government in 2027.”
MASSOB, in a statement by its National Director of Information, Comrade Edeson Samuel, said no amount of threat by APC would stop the resolve by Nigerian voters to reject the party in 2027.
The statement made available to Vanguard read:”Threatening of Mr Peter Obi’s life and family members will never stop the burning resolution of the people of Nigeria in the removal of the worst government of impunity ever witnessed in Nigeria since independence.
“MASSOB as a non-violence pro-Biafra Movement will no longer fold our hands watching some disgruntled persons threatening the life of a non-corrupt political personality in Nigeria.
“Though MASSOB under the leadership of Comrade Uchenna Madu does not believe in the existence of this geo-political expression called Nigeria, we shall not allow sponsored political thugs and hired blackmailers to tarnish the image and legacies of Mr Peter Obi, even though he (Obi) does not believe in Biafra actualization.”
