The president had ordered a thorough investigation into the alleged fraud within her ministry, promising to hold accountable anyone found guilty of misconduct.

Onanuga stated, “Betta Edu is gone… Her position has been taken over by someone else,” referring to the new minister, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, a former governorship candidate from Plateau State.

He added: “The EFCC has not shared whatever they have, but if you consider the president’s action, it suggests that the EFCC may have submitted something that justified the president’s decision.”
