Hackers have placed Facebook for sale after taking over.

Newsonline earlier reported that Mark Elliot Zuckerberg’s Facebook-owned giant social services, platforms, WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram have shut down.

This online news platform understands that data from website monitoring service Downdetector, showed that all the three services have seen a massive spike in issues in the last one hour.

WhatsApp confirmed users are facing issues with the service, adding they are working on rectifying the issues.

The message reads: “We’re aware that some people are experiencing issues with WhatsApp at the moment. We’re working to get things back to normal and will send an update here as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience!”

Hours after WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram down, Newsone reports that there has been a widely reported inability to access the services since Monday afternoon after a yet-to-be-identified hacker nuked the DNS A; an address file that holds an IP address of the domain name and AAA records for Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp.

According to the latest update now, the main domain of the Facebook company, Facebook.com, is now available for purchase.

Meanwhile, Newsonline Nigeria reports that details of the hack are yet to unravel. This is not the first time this year social networking apps have suffered an outage.
